Secure GROW: A women's space

We would like to purchase shutters for our Charity. It was broken into, keys, laptops, money from selling recycled school uniforms and from a sponsored Swim for lonely and isolated women were stolen.

Sorry this project was unsuccessful, we did not reach our fundraising goal.

Growing Real Opportunities for Women (GROW) Cymru is a not for profit charitable organisation that exists to provide training, support, mentoring and guidance to women of all backgrounds and ages across South Wales. Based in Swansea Growing Real Opportunities for Women aims to enable, empower and encourage women to overcome the barriers they face to social and financial inclusion and independence, and to increase self-confidence and improve their self-esteem through economic activity, education and volunteering.

Run by women for women, GROW Cymru offers a unique programme of workshops, discussion groups and action-learning sets where women can explore their fears and barriers as well as their aspirations and opportunities and take the first steps towards a more inclusive future.

GROW provides a safe and secure women-only environment, sensitive to the language, culture, social and religious needs.

WE work in partnership with a range of organisations in the voluntary, public and private sector – such as Swansea College, University of Wales Trinity St David, Swansea University and Swansea Council for Voluntary Services. GROW provide employment education and training opportunities for women who are unemployed and would like to return to work or are under-employed and would like to move one.

Project Owner: Growing Real Opportunities for Women (GROW) Cymru The Project Owner takes legal responsibility for receiving and spending the funds raised and ensuring the project is delivered.
