The environment

Giving schools a field trip option more locally will reduce carbon footprint.

Volunteering, jobs & education

Volunteering, jobs & education

We have provided a wider variety of ways for volunteers to get involved at the Barn, we are always looking for more people to support with events at the Barn.

Arts, culture & heritage

Arts, culture & heritage

We have seen how captivated the children are when they visit the Barn and hear the many stories of its rich history. One of the activities they can choose is to write and send a postcard, sharing some of what they’ve discovered with a grandparent or loved one. Nicola Wareing, Cub Scouts leader, commented: “I really enjoyed it, and I was amazed at how much history there is in such a small hamlet. The Cubs had a blast.” The exhibit that Richard and Sue have developed—with the support of local schools and community children—successfully meets our objective of promoting art, conservation, and heritage.
