Boundary
Our boundary rope has allowed us to create a safer environment whereby boundary fielders are much less likely to colide with exterior seating or concrete boundary surrounds. However, it also creates a visible border around the pitch making the viewing experience better for spectators. It allows us to create versatile boundaries for junior matches and this has improved the safety of those matches also.
Cellar
The new equipment in our cellar has reduced our carbon footprint in that area of the club by an estimated 30% and reduced our energy bills by a similar amount. We have been able to reinvest this money to provide more junior equipment. It has inspired us to consider other areas of the club and the potential for further improvement in our ambition to become more sustainable.
Frogbox (Livestreaming)
The streaming of matches on YouTube has been hugely succesful. In some matches, over 300 viewers have been able to access games remotely and there have been veiwers in South Africa, New Zealand, Australia and Switzerland. The games are able to watch after the event which creates interest amongst supporters and players. Elderly supporters have commented on how impressed they have been with the coverage and on days when they have opted not to attend in person, this provides a fantastic alternative.
