Our next event is a Halloween Happening and Pathway Launch Saturday 28 October 11am to 3pm. A spooky cook-up to celebrate the installation of our new pathways and to thank everyone who supported our fundraising campaign. Food and fun for everyone! Hope we will see you there. (The picture is of our new paths extension being got ready for the first time for our Taste of Asia event on 7 October with Green Shoots Foundation.)
Cannot thank you all enough for your help in reaching our target. And we did reach it - the total shows 99% but only because one pledge of £25 has failed to materialise! The contractors, T Loughman & Co Ltd, came on site last week and as you can see the new path and stable area in front of the container are in. It really has transformed the garden. Launch party now being planned.
Delighted to see the pledges recently from various anonymous donors - very many thanks. Also to GLL for their generous pledge of £300. Today we can pledge £50 match funding received from Capital Growths Urban Harvest in support of our sales at the Feast on 16 September. This takes us to our target. Great news! Thanks to everyone for their support and efforts to make this project possible.
Whoop, 20 people have pledged since fundraising began!

Our Autumn Feast on Saturday was a hive of activity all day as people dropped in to sample wonderful food made from our own produce from our guest chef Dean from The Manor (www.themanorclapham.co.uk) and from our own food bloggers Howell and Harte, and Diana. Plus marvellous cakes from Eileen and friends. Our produce stall was manned all day and a steady stream of chutneys, squashes and assorted vegetables and plants were taken away. The raffle, with prizes from local businesses was also a success. Delighted to pledge £500 today.
A sunny Saturday yesterday volunteers hard at work preparing for our Autumn Feast on Saturday 16 September and raising £120 from sales at the garden which we have pledged today. Our Feast is big fundraising occasion for us and we hope all our supporters will come along to sample food made from our home-grown vegetables with guest chef dean from The Manor. Also gardening activities, a prize raffle, Dr Bike, police bike marking, and make a scarecrow with The Spinney.
