Fundraising to help cover the costs of running and maintaining the cricket club during the unprecedented times that we find ourselves in care of the COVID-19 shutdown
Earlier this year, ECB partnered with Spacehive to support the Dynamos Cricket programme and help centres raise funds to support volunteer recruitment. We are delighted that ECB and Spacehive are now offering us the opportunity to use the platform to support fundraising initiatives for COVID-19 relief efforts. During the COVID-19 crisis, cricket clubs are under financial pressure as traditional fundraising events have been cancelled and revenue from memberships subs and the club bar dries up. Through the programme, we have created our crowdfunding campaign and we are encouraging our members and members of the local community to pledge and support us during these unprecedented times. In response, the ECB will help us to get our campaign off to a flying start by pledging £100 as soon as it goes live.

VolunteerWe are a progressive cricket club based in Barnsley, South Yorkshire. Founded in 1874, the club will have 5 open-age and 13 junior teams (including 3 girls teams) ranging from U9's to U17's. The senior teams competing in the South Yorkshire League Championship, Division 3, Division 8 and Sunday XI in the Barnsley District Sunday League respectively as well as the Women's XI in the South Yorkshire Women's Indoor Softball League.
The excellence of our junior development and commitment to excellent standards are recognised by the award of ClubMark by the ECB. We continue to invest in the club to develop the playing standards of all our cricketers. We are also dedicated to improving our facilities as funding allows, and have taken significant steps over the last few years with many improvements.
We would like to ask all members to try to contribute what you can in terms of time, committment, ideas, practice, coaching and support as we once again look to take the club forward in 2020.
