Ride to Raise Cheshire CIC is based in Winsford, set up in 2022 & provides care packages to those in need, at shelters, distribution centres, food banks & churches, using our motorbikes. Using our motorbikes we load up our panniers & take much needed products to distribution centres & to individuals homes who contact us using our on line platforms.
Growing out of our work to support those in poverty we've seen how interested people are in our motorbikes & decided this year to raise funding to provide a motorcycle social adventure experience & ride outs for members of our community who want to give it a try. CWAC locality officers, through the Spacehive platform, invited us to apply for funding and we raised £14,915 earlier this year for that project. We used this money to purchase the equipment needed to take up to 24 people plus staff on adventure experiences with a view to improving people's mental health, wellbeing and creating long term friendships and put on 6 events this year.
