I have lived in Camden for over 30 years and have been an active member of my community holding Chairperson positions in both my Resident Association and Gospel Oak DMC allowing me to create many community engagement events and projects throughout the borough over the last few years as well as being a child workforce Teacher.
The previous project was the Made In Camden Fashion Project funded by the Mayor of London's Office to Camden Council's Camden Alive. Where I engaged with over 80 residents and collaborated with two Children's Charities, HVH ARTS and Little Hands Design.
I have continued doing courses for both charities and school outreaches with youths based around sustainable fashion teaching sewing and upcycling skills even via zoom during the lockdowns.
The latest project is Reworked Camden a sustainable clothing brand which is based in the Buck Street Market. A space that supports local designers and uses the space for community engagement and workshops.
