Rooted Connections CIC is a not-for-profit community organisation based in South Ribble, Lancashire. We create meaningful spaces and experiences that connect people across generations, improve wellbeing, and activate local heritage.
Founded by a team with lived experience supporting vulnerable communities, including people living with dementia, mental health challenges, and social isolation. Our work is rooted in compassion, creativity, and practical community action.
What we do: We bring people together through cultural programming, nature-based wellbeing, storytelling, and shared purpose. From intergenerational workshops and dementia-inclusive design to creative volunteering and wellbeing events, we champion activities that are accessible, inclusive, and joyful.
Our experience: We bring diverse skills in education, community development, heritage engagement, and wellbeing programming. We've partnered with South Ribble Borough Council, charities, and healthcare providers to deliver locally led, socially meaningful projects.
This project: Following our current restoration of the garden's entrance beds, this project creates year-round cultural spaces within unused heritage structures, transforming the glasshouse and potting shed into active community hubs for workshops, music, arts, and social enterprise programming.
