Reviving Leyland's Walled Garden

Every generation leaves something behind. Something that quietly says, "We were here, and we cared." Today, because of 80 incredible backers and everyone who has supported this journey, we've reached 100% of our Spacehive crowdfunding target. When Emily and I first walked through the gates of the Walled Garden, we saw far more than an overgrown historic space. We saw children discovering nature for the first time. We saw volunteers finding purpose and friendship. We saw people living with loneliness finding somewhere to belong. We saw local people investing in the place their families and communities call home. We saw a garden becoming the heart of a community once again. Today, that vision has moved one step closer to reality. One day, somebody will stand where you're standing now. They'll walk beneath trees that have continued to grow. To every single person who donated, volunteered, shared our story, introduced us to someone, or simply believed that this forgotten place deserved another chance... 🌿 Backer Update: The momentum is building 🌿 We wanted to share a quick update from the Walled Garden and thank everyone who has supported the campaign so far. Over the past few months, volunteers have been helping us clear, tidy, plant, repair, and prepare the garden for its next chapter. This week was another big step forward. Together, volunteers completed the planting of hundreds of new plants in the entrance beds, sowed seeds in the glasshouse, cleared overgrown areas and prepared material for composting. At the same time, contractors were on site installing beautiful new heritage-style gates, carefully designed to reflect the originals and respect the Grade II listed status of the garden. It's amazing to look around and see how much progress has been made already. What was once an overlooked and largely unused space is slowly becoming somewhere people can take pride in again. We're now at **£11,135 of £14,205 (78%)** with just a few days remaining. As backers, you've already played a huge part in getting us this far.
