The environment

The environment

The board is in a very prominent place so will be seen by everyone using the footpath. The project encouraged us to leave an area of land in the churchyard uncut, to encourage native flowers and be a refuge for insects.

Arts, culture & heritage

Arts, culture & heritage

The project encouraged people living on the site of the workhouse to put up a small plaque, remembering the workhouse. The project heightened awareness of the workhouse. Many people worked in the building when it became a hospital or visited people there, and wanted to share their stories.
