We are rolling out bleed kits to be kept safe and secure in their own designated cabinets, which can be accessed with a code when knife related incident occurs also vital for road traffic collisions.
We are community organisation of volunteers based in Redbridge. Our main objectives of our project is offer an altenative free knife collection and disposal service in and around Redbridge. Most knife crime crime is committed with kitchen knives. Fewer knives means there is less opportunity to have access to a weapon in the heat of the moment. We visit areas door knocking earlier to inform the community we will be vising with our Amnesty Bin.Our next project is rolling out of bleed kits which will be kept safe and secure in their own cabinets which can be accessed with a code when an incident occurs, these not only can help save someone life during knife related incidents but also vital for road traffic collisions and accidents in the work place. We beleive this kits which altenatively can be kept together with defibilator are life saving and will encourage positive community feelings to each other and provoke a shared response to acute incidents that may rise from knife crime. As we stand now there is no emergency equipment that public can access in Redbridge related to bleeding. The ambulances takes long time to reach to the scene, we cant change that but we as a community can help each until the ambulances crews arrives. We will offer workshops on how to use the kits.As community we have seen with covid 19 crisis has exposed how dependent we are on each other and many ties of grassroots projects woven together make a fabric of community. #Your action could save someone life
