The bleed control kit means that there is life saving equipment available to the public to start giving life saving treatment before the ambulance crews arrives. Hopefully preserving life until the professional can arrive to take over. All the equipment is the same items the crews use on the ambulance therefore meaning they will be familiar with the equipment when they turn up to the scene. How its work the operator will give you a code to open the door. Inside is a bleed bag the operator will stay with you on the phone and give you instructions on what to do and how to use it, they will stay with you until ambulance arrives. The bleeding cabinets in public hotspots will be highly visible that will encourage positive community feelings to each other and provoke a shared response to acute incidents that arise from knife crime. Knife crime statistics in 2019 shows Redbridge was in top 25 worst offending areas in the UK. #your action could save someone's life
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
The Emergency bleeding cabinets in public hotspots will be highly visible that will encourage positive community feelings to each other and provoke a shared response to acute incidents that arise from knife crime. We want to prevent knife crime but also ensure that where there are incidents our community are equipped to respond safely and quickly. Bringing back community safe guarding, we want to foster an active, involved and caring local community that will lead to building a stronger and safer community by installing these devices in well used public places.Evidence shows from other areas these raise awareness of the seriousness of knife crime and provoke a collective and potentially life saving response to unfortunate incidents when they do happen. What inspired us is the incident that happened in Ilford Sainsbury where someone was stabbed and one can hear from the background the public and staff saying what are they supposed to do as someone was bleeding heavily
Steps to get it done:
The Emergency bleeding kits will comes with an APP on their locations, and added into the google maps.
