We come across so many pieces of good quality items that are just a bit old fashioned or only slightly scratched/damaged. It's these pieces that we have difficulty selling, but it breaks my heart to see good, big quality stuff being smashed up and taken to landfill. Waste sites around the country are bursting at the seams and councils are strained enough with their own flytipping problems & Waste Management! The Workshops coupled with our free collection service would take a huge pressure off of local authorities and even save money and labour!!!! I want to see our borough buzzing alive again. We're sadly losing more and more culture and the community outlook is pretty bleak. There is a still a major chip with older English residents about 'foreigners' getting all the help?! It's so sad. The Workshops would also help to integrate communities & bridge gaps in perceptions. Also how many young people are on a misguided path? This is a major local issue! I'm not saying Workshops will stop young people stabbing each other but the metal welding stuff might attract a few of the dare devil boys!!
