Preston Pride LGBTQ+ Community Festival

We have been busy planning our annual free, family-friendly and accessible event which included BSL interpreters throughout the event on stage. We delivered a fantastic inclusive parade with opportunities for groups, organisations and individuals to join in from the start. It was colourful & flamboyant with oodles of Drag Queens both leading the parade and the days events on stage. THe event was complimented by local music artists appearing on stage including the winner of 2025 Preston Pride Has Got Talent Owen who won the crowd over with his amazing talent. Sing it Big from Chorley perfomed to rapturous applause whilst covering many hits throughout the decades. Ginny Lemon was the Queen of the ball entertaining the crowd with her unique humor and fun style of act. There were information stalls booked from 40 organisations and special guest appearances throughout the day from local celebrities which included our friends from Comic Con, Batman, Jack Sparrow and a few Storm Troopers for a good mix.The day was over  8 hours of fun filled packed entertainment starting at 10.30am carrying right the way through into early evening.

On a more serious note with a Police presence and a focus on raising Hate Crime Awareness awareness the evnt went without any hitchesas we had our Hate Crime ambassadors supporting the day

The Sexual Health advice and testing on the day by the community health practitioners were booked which included HARRI the bus who attends events to support the project. Familiy activities were planned including Flag & bunting making plus arts and crafts hroughout the day and also over 50 faces were painted! The evening performances had been organised to take place at three additional venues across the City Centre, which were well received by the community and our allies.
