Updates
Wow! It's been an incredible roller coaster of a year since we started this crowdfunding campaign. We are so lucky to have the support of our community behind us - even in these extremely uncertain times we have managed to create an amazing space for young people to come and create music that means something to them. Words can't express how grateful we are to be able to offer these opportunities which are more important than ever right now. If you find yourself in and around Stratford in the next few weeks, feel free to drop in and visit us - just make sure you're wearing your mask! :)
Hello to all of our lovely backers! We wanted to reach out to let you know that while our first attempt at crowdfunding didn't go exactly as we'd hoped, we are trying again! We've been given the green light from Westfield Stratford and have ONLY ONE WEEK TO REACH OUR GOAL!!! We would love it if you could visit our NEW project page and make a pledge here: https://www.spacehive.com/pop-up-stratford-music-studio. As we mentioned - we currently have until MONDAY 16 MARCH to get £3,984 in pledges to make this dream a reality! We know we can do it! Will you help us get there???
To all of you who supported our project and crowdfunding campaign, In the past week, we have had some extremely positive and exciting discussions with the team at Westfield and remain confident that this project will be successful, tying in with some plans even bigger than we’d expected. As you may have seen, we have run into some challenges with our delivery timeline. When working with a global organisation, it’s not always simple to get the green light for great ideas. This has unfortunately clashed with some of Spacegive’s deadlines and we will therefore not be allowed to collect your pledges at this time. That being said, your support has been very appreciated as we embarked on our first ever crowdfunding campaign. Even the fact that we reached our ambitious funding goal shows the community commitment to the project. We fully intend to deliver on our promise and move forward with the Pop Up Studio project as planned. If you’d like, you can visit our website at any time to make a donation directly. We look forward to your support on the next stage of the project!
Dear supporters of this campaign, We regret to inform you that due to the disclaimer that is fixed at the top of this project page not yet being met, we are unfortunately not able to collect any pledges for this project and the Pop-Up Music Studio in Stratford will instead go down as an unsuccessful campaign. All pledges made via GoCardless or PayPal are set up as pre-approved payments, which have a finite lifetime, and those pledges have now expired. Newham Music expected that an agreement between to use a space in Westfield Stratford City was forthcoming at the start of this campaign last year, but unfortunately we have not received the assurances required for the collection of funds to begin. If you backed this campaign, your pledge has therefore now been cancelled and no funds will be collected from your account. If you have any questions about the future plans for this project, please contact the Project Delivery Manager Jill Meredith via [email protected]. For any other questions, we are available via [email protected]. We apologise for any inconvenience caused. Regards, Carl Faulkner Project Success Manager - Spacehive
Thank you to all our backers who helped us reach our crowdfunding goal! This includes a few offline donations from the local community which deserve a mention here. Special thanks to East London Business Alliance for matching our bucket collections for a total contribution of £400, to Get Living London for their donation of £250, and to an anonymous £100 donation after our performance at the Royal Albert Hall. We can't wait to bring you more news about the project as it becomes available.
Brilliant news, thanks everyone!
