More about our impact
Volunteering, jobs & education
we created 23 volunteer guide placements, and 4 university level placements. due to the covid situation we were unable to offer schools placements how ever we will be offering school placements throughout the year once we are able to We created over 30 temporary freelance posts over the duration of the project.
Arts, culture & heritage
We believe we were the first group in the north east to stage events after the lock down regulations were lifted. we staged 4 performance of each of the 3 shows as we pledged too. The audience numbers were limited due to covid restrictions - Richard III and Merry Wives each had sold out audiences of upto 137 a night in picnic style pitches, Midsummer Nights dream was limited to 22 people by restrictions on the land license from the council. to allow for greater access to the events we live streamed 2 performance of Richard III and 2 performance of Merry Wives. the 30 min Mad Version of a Midsummer Night's Dream was recorded for broadcast later this year.
Activity, health and leisure
Unfortunately as the events had to change form due to the pandemic we were unable to move the audience around the parks in the way that we would have hoped. However the mental health benefits of being able to come to a safe open air cultural event was a regular comment on the event feedback
