The Phoenix Festival is organised by a volunteer committee as part of the Cirencester Community Development Trust and Cirencester Town Council.
Cirencester Town Council has responsibility and accountability for the Phoenix Festival.
The Phoenix Festival is a community led, free, three-day music, arts and entertainment event held in the Abbey Grounds, Cirencester. It was created in 2013 by the Ozone Youth Club and is supported by Cirencester Town Council, Cirencester Community Development Trust and volunteers from a diverse range of backgrounds.
The Phoenix Festival presents a unique platform for local artists and performers to come together and showcase their talents. It also offers the local community and businesses the opportunity to be involved in the most exciting and engaging music event in Cirencester. Being a free to enter event it is totally non-discriminatory and inter-generational.
As the Phoenix Festival grows and develops, so do those involved, especially the younger volunteers in both their self-esteem and self-confidence. For many it provides a positive learning experience and, in some cases, has helped to overcome fears and phobias. It gives the local community an event that brings them together, one they can be a part of, as well as proud of and leaves them with a warmness and sense of achievement that stays with them long after the event.
