By Pavilion Preschool Aigburth
Our amazing vibrant preschool is being rebuilt and we need funds to build & fit new kitchen plus garden & playground area so we can have a super tea party in our brand new community building!
Pavilion is a community led preschool, est in 1969 by six local super mums cherished by the community ever since. It is magical place of daily wonder and fun for children, aged 2-4, parents and staff. Our current building is over 30 years old, crumbling, out worn and out played! In July 2020 this will be replaced with a fabulous new community preschool building. This new building will open the preschool out to more of our community with new family services, allowing more people to access our magic, volunteer or become part of our team! It has been a dream to have a kitchen that our children can access to make, bake and learn. Salma our super cook, loves making bread & flapjacks with our children! Play outside is at the heart our day! The new building has the perfect space for garden & play ground, which needs developing with play surfaces, veg boxes, plants, mud kitchen, water play, a magical story telling chair & toadstools. The ideal place to eat homemade bread & cakes! Yum!
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
Healthy lifestyles via food prep in our new child friendly kitchen space, physical play outside and mindfulness in a garden are valuable life skills for all ages. A beautiful outdoor space to play and explore, rich learning moments for every child, from early years to junior age. Opening minds to our natural environment and how to care for it. We will offer increased childcare hours for preschool children plus brand new wrap around care allowing more of our community acces to our site. Local families need quality affordable childcare and our community can access our outdoor space as many families live in terrace houses with no garden. A new outdoor space will bring new sensory learning for young and old, a planned sensory path which has no ability limits. Parents & volunteers are welcome to contribute skills and share knowledge with children, staff and each other Children learning outside offers a wealth of new opportunities - making memories that can be cherished for ever.
Steps to get it done:
At the heart our preschool is a family, our staff, children, parents and community. We are passionate about proving the best early years experiences for all children of all abilities. A team of like minded individuals who desire to spark the natural curiosity for learning in everyone, young or old. Our new outdoor area and kitchen will be a wonderful new community resource, accessible for many more for decades to come. Our staff can share in new learning opportunities with children, be that making cakes, building a den, planting carrots or making mud pies. Our retired community can access our garden out of hours, be it art classes, yoga or a choir. Local businesses can host pilates class or musics lessons in a new garden venue. Local universities and colleges are welcome to study along side our team of professionals. Our ambition is mighty...... this passion, love and care needs your support.
