Old tired worn out nets, no longer safe to use to be replaced with 4 lane new state-of-the-Art cricket nets and enclosed artificial training area. Ready for 2021 season
The State-of-the-Art cricket training facilities will improve the performance of all sections of the club, seniors, women, juniors, visually impaired and is ideal for wheelchair users. There are four net lanes all to ECB standard. The artificial training area provides a full length run up for bowlers. The training area can be separated from the nets with pull across netting, so throw downs can take place in the nets and fielding drills on the artificial surface. The whole project is enclosed by a high security fence which will hopefully prevent vandalism . There will be power sockets both both outside lanes to use a bowling machine. The cost of this facility is £73,000 and the club has raised nearly half of this amount.

The nets will be available for all members of the club. Training will be in a safe environment Local schools and cricket teams will be able to use them
