Northwich Pride CIO (registered charity number 1215314), are developing PRIDE initiatives for 2026. Our aims are to promote equality and diversity, advance education and eliminate discrimination in relation to lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and non-binary (LGBTQIA+) people, in particular but not exclusively, in Northwich and the surrounding villages for the public benefit by:
- Education: hosting support groups and training programs, and clear signposting of support and advice services offered by other providers.
- Celebration: delivering an annual Northwich pride event, and smaller activities and events for the LGBTQIA+ community and its allies throughout the year.
- Inclusion: creation of safe and welcoming events and spaces for the LGBTQIA+ community. Maximising accessibility to our events and activities, in order to foster understanding between people from different backgrounds.
The charity are developing these plans in conjunction with other parties, including:
- Northwich Town Council
- Groundwork Cheshire, Lancashire and Merseyside
- Cultural Services, Environment and Communities, CWAC
- Body Positive / Silver Rainbows and the Cheshire Prides Network
- Radiate Arts
- Open Space, part of Refresh Northwich a mid-Cheshire Methodist Church project
- Northwich BID
