The idea
New Longton Sports & Social Club is a registered Community Amateur Sports Club. Where Cricket, Football, Ladies Softball Cricket and All stars cricket (under 8 year olds) is played.
The changing rooms are over 40 years old and in dire need of refurbishment and modernisation. The Crowd funding will be used towards the cost of refurbishing and upgrading the changing facilities to make them more female and child friendly, and to allow NLSSC to fulfill its stated aim to increase sporting participation by women & girls
The work will include the provision of facilities for those with physical disabilities, health conditions or impairment. This work is conducive with our inclusivity aims, to offer the playing of sport to all.

- Completion of the entire project by the end of the year, but earlier if possible
New Longton Sports and Social Club is not-for-profit organisation, it is managed by a committee of volunteers who freely give their time for the benefit of the community. We fund our operation from bar and membership revenues, any surpluses are reinvested to the benefit of the membership.
The funding of the refurbishment and upgrade of the changing rooms will provide a welcoming, inclusive, safe & hygienic environment for sport participants. The work will guarantee the continued playing of sport in the community with enhanced changing facilities providing an opportunity to attract new junior, women, girls and disabled members.
