Ambasonic Ltd is a UK-registered company, founded in 2019 and based in Walsall. We are dedicated to creating community-driven projects that use digital tools to connect people, preserve cultural heritage, and support local engagement. Over the last few years, our work has focused on bridging the gap between tradition and technology so that cultural practices can thrive in modern contexts.
Our current initiative is Ngui Connect — a digital platform designed to serve Grassfield communities (Bamiléké, Bamoun, and Anglophone NW Cameroon) and the diaspora worldwide. Every weekend, thousands of families travel to organise funerals, weddings, dowries, and novenas, yet they often face challenges in finding accommodation, service providers, or event information. Diaspora families, in particular, struggle to contribute meaningfully when far from home.
Ngui Connect addresses this by providing:
-
Listings of hotels, rentals, and service providers.
-
A bilingual (English/French) cultural calendar and glossary.
-
Tools for budget planning, live streaming, and community sharing.
Through this Spacehive campaign, we are raising funds to deliver community workshops in Walsall, digitise cultural knowledge, and host a launch event to introduce the platform. By combining training, research, and digital design, our goal is to empower families locally and abroad to organise events more easily, while safeguarding traditions for the next generation.
Our vision is simple: to connect Grassfield culture worldwide, ensuring that wherever our communities are — in Cameroon, the UK, or beyond — they remain united, informed, and proud of their heritage.
