By Somerset Rural Music School
On Saturday 12th July the Music school will be presenting a Summer Bash in the form of a Showcase, exhibiting our wide range of talents.
Starting next week (Saturday 3rd May) we will be running a group rehearsal for the Showcase from 12.00 – 1.00 pm in Heathfield school hall. There is no extra charge for these sessions. We will be working mainly on the final item of the Showcase – which is a performance of World War 1 songs. We hope the performance will be all singing, all dancing and will include a band/orchestra, drama/mime, dancing, singing, costumes and props! (Any ideas re. costumes and props will be gratefully received.)
We would really like as many students as possible to attend these extra rehearsals, so that we can put on a well polished performance. We also ask that students decide which role they would like to take on in the WW1 item i.e. playing an instrument in the band, acting, dancing or singing.
