Creating healthy people, a healthy economy, a healthy environment and healthy organisations
By Shropshire European Organisation cic
We would like to celebrate International Children's Day with local community and friends. Let's bring different culture, nation and language together to have fun and meet new people.
Sorry this project was unsuccessful, we did not reach our fundraising goal.
We have fantastic diverse community living around. International Children's Day is important for many countries so let's celebrate by origami workshops, wild life crafts, Persian calligraphy, Eastern European art & craft style. You can have fun with recycling and learn about sorting them with Veolia. Local artist will have fun with wardrobe & mirror and unique ball costumes. Part of the event will be Mr. Ballon who will make show with animals' balloons which will bring smile on children's faces, but we will have face painting which is always very popular among youngest part of our community. We can't forget about Indian Henna, tattoos and have someone style your hair in an Afro-Caribbean way. Mr. DJ will take you for a trip around the world with multicultural music. There will be healthy snacks for children and international cakes for everyone.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
This is amazing opportunity to bring multicultural communities together, shared their knowledge and raise awareness about their culture and tradition. That community event will be a great example on equality and promote diversity, but the most important is to bring smile and fun to all. Let's give them magic and fantastic experience and memories. By bringing whole families together we are hoping to take them away from daily life's issues. We are hoping to help them with their wellbeing and mental health. We want to be open to everyone, it is great opportunity for many families struggled financial to provide activities and fun for their children. Children's laugh is the best sound, let's bring it to the room.
Steps to get it done:
Shrewsbury is in the middle of rural Shropshire county. We are hoping to bring community together from surrounded villages and towns. We work closely with many VSCA organisations who would like to be a part of Multicltural Children's Day.
