Market Rasen Town Cricket Club is situated within the rural town at the foot of the Lincolnshire Wolds. The club has four adult teams, two junior teams and a Ladies team. Market Rasen CC has been providing cricket to members of the local community for many years. Like many other places across the UK the club was forced to close during the Coronavirus Pandemic and remained closed for nearly months. The closure has had a detrimental effect on the club as the loss of income of not having the clubhouse and bar opened coupled with the loss of half the cricket season has meant the club is need of some funds to continue to provide cricket for all of it's teams. Bills are still needed to be paid and products and materials are still needed to be purchased to ensure the cricket pitch remains in top condition throughout this sort season and into the winter months.

• Coaching provided by fully qualified coaches
• Access to the training and equipment needed to compete in matches

Why it's a great idea:

This funding will enable us to continue to offer great coaching and opportunity to people from the ages of 6 up to adult age. We will be able to provide an excellent facility to play cricket on and ensure our juniors are coached by fully qualified coaching. This club will be able to provide a chance for all ages and genders the opportunity to meet new people, develop friendship groups whilst ensuring they are staying physically active.

• Increase the number of junior teams within the club
• See an increase in footfall within the clubhouse
• Have three fully qualified cricket coaches volunteering at the club
• High quality prepared wicket, created by the assistance of the right amount of materials
