We want to transform some empty and unloved space into a vibrant and creative community garden - an open and creative home for local people to connect with nature and with each other.
We are a community based Church & Community Centre that runs a Café and many community activities, including various children's and youth programs. These vary from providing free activities targeted at families who don't have easy access to other provision due to disadvantages, through to our weekly mums and toddler groups and holiday clubs. We also link up with the local youth services to help engage with young offenders and run targeted projects. In addition, we run several programs and activities for seniors targeting those isolated and lonely within the local area. We support an ongoing range of other community work including a Mencap club, supporting local homeless outreach work and providing job opportunities and training to vulnerable adults and teenagers. This is on top of the wide range of community groups that use our building too!
The Project Owner takes legal responsibility for receiving and spending the funds raised and ensuring the project is delivered.
