This project was funded on 23 May 2020!

Once safe to resume full cricket activities, Mildenhall Cricket Club will run a free two weeks of cricket training for any interested children in the local area. The club will provide all equipment, qualified coaches, and refreshments. We believe that as a club we can help get the youth of Mildenhall active again following the period of isolation by encouraging children to participate in cricket based activities in a safe and fun environment. Mildenhall Cricket Club already has a good reputation with it's ongoing support of the community and charitable events with which we will look to support with a prize draw with donated prizes from club members. This will be a non-profit event with all monies raised through draws, the sale of refreshments etc... to parents being put back into the community.

What we'll deliver:

  • The procurement of refreshments for all participants

Why it's a great idea:

Get the children of Mildenhall active by playing sport! Support local charities! Promote cricket as a sporting option for all! Raise the visibility of Mildenhall Cricket Club and it's facilities within the local community so we can help support other local groups and organizations grow and develop.

Steps to get it done:

  • Encourage at least 20 children to take up cricket as a pastime/sport
