More about our impact

More about our impact

The environment

The environment

We have now taken donations of over 2,000 items, mainly clothing and blankets, which we hope is contributing to a reduction in textile waste. Now that we are set up properly and will be taking regular donations, we expect these numbers to keep rising.

The local economy

The local economy

Our space is now being used as a venue for workshops and events that are all run by local parents, for local parents!

Volunteering, jobs & education

Volunteering, jobs & education

We have been grateful for the support of a group of volunteers since the project started. As we go forward into 2021 we hope to professionalise this aspect of the project, and have regular meet-ups with volunteers in our new space!

Arts, culture & heritage

Arts, culture & heritage

We have renovated and decorated a shop in the heart of our community, that has been unused and in disrepair for a number of years; this is now a community space where local parents can gather, connect, and support each other through the events and workshops hosted there.

Activity, health and leisure

Activity, health and leisure

The boxes we have provided to vulnerable mothers have relieved their financial strains at a crucial time with the arrival of a new baby; and have provided a boost to the mums' self-worth and wellbeing.
