To run a new cricket initiative delivering cricket to children under the age of 9, once a week for an hour with qualified coaches.
Sorry this project was unsuccessful, we did not reach our fundraising goal.
This initiative will build children's confidence and skills to be ready for the league and hard ball format of junior cricket as they get older. It will be delivered in a fun, innovative way to a whole group. This helps the team to get to know each other as they will progress through the cricket years together until they are 19 years old. We teach them to be respectful and supportive of each other. A different skill in cricket will be taught each week with smaller one to one sections for those requiring extra practice in certain areas.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
It will give us access to the all the coaching guidelines from the ECB, put coaches on courses and importantly to be able to deliver the best programme we can in a fun, relaxed and positive way. It will also allow us to invest in new kit and equipment especially designed for them and teach them to take ownership and the responsibility of it.
