The local economy

The local economy

We have I think achieved what we set out to achieve with regards to the local economy, everything we bought to prepare and maintain the greens was from local firms, and all the work done was by local volunteers , gradually increasing their skill sets and knowledge., the machine maintenance was done by a local firm or more often by volunteers .Boules pitch was repaired and maintained by volunteers, and coaching was carried out by a local volunteer. The warm space can be available all week for use by the local community for various organised activity and has definitely increased the number of people using the facility

Volunteering, jobs & education

Activity, health and leisure

We have introduced social bowling every Sunday for anyone interested including existing players wanted an informal afternoon with friends and especially for new people who wish to take up the game. we have 30 plus playing indoor bowling in winter, and a pool table in constant use. That with the new dart board ,existing snooker and table tennis is getting people out in the evenings. We have recently introduced cards which again gets people out. Successful events have included a family fun day , Christmas Market, Winter Wonderland. Presentation night, and the continuing success of Chatty Latte
