The idea
We are looking to create more opportunities at Longton VM for the local community of all ages, including local schools, to get involved in more indoor and outdoor activities throughout the year , including sports and games ,and numerous family activities. To enable us to do this we need to improve and maintain our current facilities, this includes the two outdoor bowling greens. We need help with the costs of the essential materials we need use throughout the year, including fertilizer, weed and moss treatments, seed and top dressing. and to replace the bulbs in the floodlights with more efficient LED one to improve everyone's experience .We need to renovate the Boules pitches to get them in playing condition as they have been neglected over the years, this includes resurfacing which will be on one off cost, We need to continue with indoor bowling in winter to maintain people's activity, and hold a number of social and sporting events throughout the year to get the community involved

- 2 outdoor Boules pitches
- accessible indoor warm space for community activities
Why it's a great idea
Bowls is an all year activity , (we have an indoor facility as well as the two outdoor greens)for all ages especially the elderly, it will give the opportunity to keep active, as will the two outdoor Boules pitches. The clubhouse is a safe warm space which will enable the local community to meet for numerous activities, including film nights, indoor markets and indoor games, snooker, pool, darts dominoes as well as the indoor bowling. The idea is to create and maintain a facility that the community can use throughout the whole year
Steps to get it done

we are trying to improve the facilities and create new activities that can be used by the whole of the local community throughout the year with the aim of giving people the opportunity to be more active
