Volunteering, jobs & education

Parents and carers attending the sessions with their children have been engaged in helping to run the activities, often gaining skills and confidence and building up networks of contacts and friendships among other parents.

Activity, health and leisure

Activity, health and leisure

We have provided a range of different age-appropriate activities aimed at young children, and this has helped them develop physical skills such as balance and agility as well as social skills - such as teamwork and waiting your turn. The children have made new friends and parents' social isolation has been reduced. The social benefits are visible when participants can be seen socialising in the cafe outside of the sessions.
