We would like to invite members of the community to celebrate the 50th Birthday of Leyland Library in November this year. We want to have music and theatre events in the Library which all can enjoy
The Leyland Library 50th Birthday Party will be a vibrant community event involving theatre, music and refreshments. The Friends of Leyland Library already put on many events which all members of the community can join in . We offer a safe space where people can come alone and meet new friends at our quizzes and afternoon teas. This event would be an extra special get-together that people from all sectors of the community can come and join in with.

Why it's a great idea:
This event will be a fun day aiming to bring people into the library to improve their mental wellbeing, to meet new people and to discover what else is available in the library. It will be a musical and cultural day for all ages from mums with babies to older people living on their own. Everybody is welcome and can join in.

We are making progress with our plans. On Friday 15th November Trouble at Mill will be performing at the library and we will be serving a Hotpot late lunch - all free of charge. We have other exciting plans in the pipeline for Autumn to celebrate the 50th Birthday of Leyland Library and as soon as they are finalised we will let you know.
Whoop, 30 people have pledged since fundraising began!
We are doing amazingly well but need to raise another £261 before the end of April to ensure that get to our target and receive our funding. Thanks for all everybody has donated but if you have any friends who you think might be able to pledge a couple of pounds that would be so much appreciated. Thank you all you superstars!!!
