More about our impact
Volunteering, jobs & education
He are very proud to have managed to train 33 young artists even in the harsh context of lockdowns and the pandemic. They received a high quality course with direct access to professional in the field. We trained them to lean about engaging groups and then went to engage community groups to create their own murals. They learned about how to sustain their art practice through entrepreneurial and practical skills.
Arts, culture & heritage
We achieved our targets with our students and the amount of murals we created. The graduates went to win commissions for the Lewisham Borough of Culture, engaging local people and issues. One of the school led murals was developed in partnership with the Museum of Migration. The School established itself and is now a part of the arts environment in Lewisham. Our 34Bus graduates have produced 4 participatory large scale murals in Enfield, increasing our the impact of our participation processes across London.
Activity, health and leisure
Our mural in Chinbrook Meadows, in the far South of the Borough, promotes walking in the park and gives women in particular, a sense of safety and well being.
