The idea
Ard Na Greine Residents Association celebrated 50 years last year and our residents have great pride in our estate and have been successful in competitions over the years. Unfortunately given the age it requires considerable ongoing maintenance..
We have a beautiful leafy estate with mature trees and a number of green areas.
A feature of the estate is our road signs (15 in total) which need continual maintenance and replacement of flowers etc. and are costly.
Another area of consideration is our large green area (Slademore Park) which needs major landscaping which we are hoping to do in conjunction with Dublin City Council. We have a new sign on the site commemorating our 50th and a suggestion is to have it surrounded by a flowerbed.
What we'll deliver
- Regenerate street signs
- Replace barrels
- Flower garden around 50th monument
Why it's a great idea
It will create a beautiful environment for biodiversity and make the estate one to be proud of by residents
Steps to get it done
- purchase plants etc.
- Get design for landscaping around our 50th anniversary monument.
The Ard Na Greine Residents Association Committee are a very strong and committed group who have worked tirelessly over many years keeping the estate to a very high standard, supporting our small community with social events and community cleanups but most importantly keeping them connected and informed. We have worked closely with DCC and our local Councillors in maintaining the upkeep of the estate and to that end have won many awards.
