The idea
Faust will be an exciting performance in autumn 2023 with a large cast of community actors of all ages. There will be 2 pay-what-you-decide performances - promenade style - using several city centre spaces - and this performance will also be filmed to be shared widely.
What we'll deliver

Why it's a great idea
Open to all community actors, this will promote well-being, creativity, community and confidence.
Funding will enable the performances to be pay-what-you-decide, so opening up theatre to those who may not be able to afford to pay theatre ticket prices.
The film of a new translation of Faust will be of interest to many people, including students and will be a resource to be shared.
Steps to get it done
- April 2023 - callout for performers to be released
- May 2023 - casting and venue/performance decisions complete
- June 2023 - first planning meeting with filmmaker
- July 2023 - initial rehearsals
- September/October/November - rehearsals (some filmed)
- end November 2023 - performance and filming
