By Fare Divide
We want to rescue surplus fresh produce by harvesting unwanted produce from local farms, community gardens, or your garden or allotments and make it available to the community.
Sorry this project was unsuccessful, we did not reach our fundraising goal.
Last summer we were asked quite frequently if could go and help pick fruit from people's gardens to save the food going to waste. We want to make sure food is not wasted, especially at this time or increased need. So we want to organise a group of volunteers to carry out small scale gleaning days wherever it is needed in the area. In order to this we need to invest in some equipment to allow us to do this safely and effectively.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
Less food waste. Less hungry people. More healthy produce available for anyone who needs it.
