Lady in Red Visits Artz Centre
The Artz Centre'The arts play a vital role in how we work, live, learn and play. Lady in Red was seeking to educate people on the dangers and nuances of this murky topic and it certainly did that for me. As much as we like to tell fantasy stories with big elaborate sets, colourful costumes and happy endings, it’s important that we also tell the real stories about life too. The play was cleverly written and extremely well performed; I also enjoyed gaining a slightly deeper insight in the Q & A session'

Arts, culture & heritage
Providing professional work for artists and increasing access to professional theatre/film/audio to community audiences. Providing BSL interpretation and audio versions increases access to the arts for people who are deaf, have impaired hearing or sightloss. The digital package provides new avenues into the arts. Performances will be in community/arts venues with after show discussions with the writers and actors – providing an interactive experience for audiences. Supporting the work and development of our company - Preston's longest running professional theatre company - operating without any revenue funding - helping us make our work accessible to disadvantaged groups
Activity, health and leisure
The project provided theatre and film experiences free of charge - opening up the arts to those who may not currently prioritise them. Providing a safe space to explore the impact of domestic abuse on physical and mental health and linking audiences with local support organisations.
