The idea
We are a resident-run social supermarket in Lache. We collect surplus food from local supermarkets and divert it to local residents. We have been running since 2019 and, with the upcoming cost of living crisis, it is more important than ever that we continue to provide this service.
What we'll deliver
- We want to collect even more surplus food and divert it to more residents
- We want more storage space, fridges, and freezers for all our rescued food
- We want to create an edible living wall in the Larder garden
Why it's a great idea
This project speaks for itself - why throw good food away when it can be used to feed people? We provide healthy, affordable and accessible food to the residents of Lache.
Steps to get it done
- Increase the number of residents we reach to 1000
- Create an edible living wall in our beautiful back garden
