Brilliant news, thanks everyone!
We are a resident-run social supermarket in Lache and we want to ensure that throughout the cost-of-living crisis we can continue to divert food from landfill and use it to feed bellies not bins!
We are a resident-run social supermarket in Lache. We collect surplus food from local supermarkets and divert it to local residents. We have been running since 2019 and, with the current cost of living crisis, it is more important than ever that we continue to provide this service. This winter we would also like to be able to open our doors as a warm bank and provide a warm and welcoming space for Lache residents who are struggling to keep their homes warm. We are asking for financial donations to enable us to do this.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
This project speaks for itself - why throw good food away when it can be used to feed people? We provide healthy, affordable and accessible food in a warm and welcoming space to the residents of Lache.
