I am a Medlar with Wesham resident, local volunteer, and toddler mother, who also runs an 10-19 education support known and EduQuest Academies Limited in the area, for young people struggling in mainstream schools, with medical issues, mental health worries and with SEMH.
We are proud to belong in our local community and work with the bigger picture in mind, we aim to cultivate well rounded and aspirational young people, who will be the future leaders and contributors to our community. In order to achieve this we are setting up events in the community so thay children and young people can reconnect with their home towns and take pride in where they live.
Our first aim is the revival of the annual horticulture show, its presence will feed into other areas.
Youth group uptaking of disused allotment spaces
Reducation of social unrest in the areas, by running afternoon - evening workshops
Implementation of the Scarecrow trail as part of the Harvest Festival and Halloween Celebrations, with food donations from local allotments
Upgrading and designing of local play parks and skate parks
And light up the night winter festival, Christmas lights design and switch on.
All these activities will help the children and young people of the communities connect and take part, as well as creating continual supporting events throughout the year that will help us combat lonliness in the community amongst all generations.
