More about our impact

The local economy

The local economy

We used local suppliers for food and refreshments, and for welfare needs

Volunteering, jobs & education

Volunteering, jobs & education

From the Jubilee Beacon Lighting to the Wheelbarrow Race, everything was initiated, set up and run by volunteers of all ages

Arts, culture & heritage

Arts, culture & heritage

The Beacon lighting referred to local & national heritage, we gave a platform to local young musicians, and the team building for the Jubilee has stimulated a number of history and culture projects for the future.

Activity, health and leisure

Activity, health and leisure

Our main events were largely outdoors in fresh air, and we included some actual races and competition. There was dancing, and the Wheelbarrow Race was run over a demanding 1 mile plus course around Kempsey.
