We are planning a celebration on Saturday 4th June to celebrate the Queens Platinum Jubilee. The event is Kempsey Platinum Picnic in the Park, a free family community event for young and old. Starting at 2pm we have a number of Live entertainers and local musicians due to play on our stage. A Fun Dog Show will take place as well as Tennis taster sessions, lots of fun entertainment for the Children - Fair ride, Disco Dome, Bouncy Castle and Golf Course. We have a stall holders selling Crafts, Gifts and Bakes. Hot Food catering will be available as well as a Bar and Cocktail Horse box, Tea/Coffee and cakes. Later in the evening we have live music with local bands and a Rock and Roll Band Jimmy and the Hound Dogs to finish our community day celebration.

What we'll deliver:

  • Public events over the weekend
  • Food, drink and entertainment for a memorable weekend
  • Connect with neighbouring communities in friendship

Why it's a great idea:

We would really like to reunite the villagers of Kempsey together and celebrate. This event will offer new and old residents to the village a real sense of community, greater awareness and understanding of the life of Kempsey as a thriving Worcestershire village.

Steps to get it done:

  • We would like to arrange as many activities as possible across the Jubilee Weekend.

We have pulled together and we have support from various different groups and clubs within Kempsey to work alongside us and help to create a variety of events on the day.
