The environment

The environment

We have met all of the objectives we set ourselves. The gardens are now a more viable community asset, and offer wildlife myriad aids and support (e.g. pond, bird boxes, managed wild areas).

The local economy

The local economy

Economy comes second to ecology in our world! Our project has helped improve physical and mental well-being, We've partnered with Eco-Church to create a sensory garden, and will continue to engage with the wider community in mutually beneficial projects.

Volunteering, jobs & education

The KCG has a pending lease which will further allow the community to take ownership of the outcomes of the site. Volunteering is key to the sites ongoing success, and we continue in our quest to help educate our community on the benefits of KCG.

Activity, health and leisure

Activity, health and leisure

KCG is an outdoors facility which encourages wholesome, outdoor activity, embracing nature and valuing sustainability. We have new members taking on allotments which helps grow our visibility locally, and the physical and mental health benefits are significant to all those who come to our site.
