Eccleston Cricket Club have been in existence for around 100 years. and have been on our current ground since 1997. Since our initial move, we've extended the pavilion, built a new equipment shed and installed a new artificial wicket. Each one of these developments of our facilities has meant thay we've been able to reach out to more people in the community, expanding member numbers and of course, the diverse nature of those who now treat the cricket club as their own: the very little ones with their parents for All Stars/Dynamos (age 4 to 10), the juniors, with parents and grandparents, and of course, the senior members, bringing family and friends along. Having the children there from such a young age is brilliant in terms of developing their social skills and giving them confidence in a friendly team environment. As the only sports club in a village with a population of 4500 we provide a focal point for the local community along with sporting and social opportunities for people young and old.
