We are a group of people of all ages, sizes, and cultures that love to sing gospel music and share our passion with other community members.
We see it as spreading the joy, after all, singing boosts our physical, mental and spiritual well-being. At the end of every session we feel uplifted and we want our audience to feel that joy.
We enjoy learning new songs and the skills associated with presenting a song to an audience such as controlled breathing, expressional singing and harmonizing.
Practising can be intense and repetitive at times but once we have mastered it we feel a great sense of accomplishment.
We have sung at a variety of places such as care homes, prisons, weddings, funerals, at Tamworth Castle and symphony Hall to name a few.
There is also a social side to the choir. We get on with each other and on ocassions we have evenings out at gospel concerts or at restaurants.
The choir has a management committee, comprising of the choir director, the treasurer and the secretary. They ensure the administration of the choir runs smoothly.
