Raising money to help others by providing a fun packed day of inflatable challenges, old fashioned games and family fun.
Last year we ran our first "Its a Nook Out" day. Teams of local Residents challenged each other over a variety of Inflatable Obstacles, playing old fashioned games like Human Hungry Hippos and Dear Liza while entertaining the crowds with water fights and cheeky challenges. We provided refreshments, stalls and family activities. Our main purpose was to raise money for our chosen charity "Keenan's Fund" (a small charity established to purchase a holiday home for families to use, who have children with life limiting diseases). This year we want to do the same again, providing an action packed family fun day for our community and raise even more money for our chosen charity.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
We want to recreate the success of last year but this year include more activities for the Community. The Agar Nook Estate is based in an area of high deprivation, where families struggle day to day to make ends meet. Yet we managed to deliver a fun packed day on a tiny budget, with the help of some willing volunteers, where lots of our community came out to support the event. But the best bit of all was, we also managed to raise £500 for another charity. This year we would like to double our fund raising target and raise a £1000 for Keenan's Fund.
Steps to get it done:
Any local Businesses or organisations want to pledge £100 or offer support in kind? You could become one of our official supporters, by helping disadvantaged people in your local community to have a great day and support "Keenan's Fund" too.
