Ink & Soul CIC is a community-rooted creative organisation based in Lancashire, dedicated to empowering children and young people through storytelling, reading and imaginative expression. Founded by neurodiverse writer and creative director Louisa, Ink & Soul exists to bring books, creativity and emotional connection to young people who need it most - including those in hospitals, foster care, youth justice settings and underserved communities.
As a Community Interest Company, our mission is simple and deeply held: to make stories accessible, joyful and transformative for every young person, regardless of background or circumstance.
What We Do
Ink & Soul delivers a growing range of creative literacy programmes designed to meet young people where they are:
- The Lost Luggage Library - a travelling creative space bringing books, writing tools, story-making workshops and performances directly into communities.
- Hospital Storytelling & Book Gifting — offering comfort, distraction, and imagination to children receiving medical care.
- Young Authors Programme — nurturing confidence, voice, and self-expression through guided creative writing sessions.
