Hi, my name is Louisa and I'm the founder of In Console CIC. As a neurodiverse writer and storyteller, I created In Console to make reading, creative writing, and the sharing of stories radically accessible to everyone. I'm now asking your support to help us finish the build of one of our core community projects, The Lost Luggage Library. This is the horse trailer that we're refurbishing. We've been working hard to refurbish an old horse trailer into an inspiring creative sanctuary for all. We've been collecting book donations, building shelves and upcycling old furniture. We've even taken the Lost Luggage Library out for a few test events. So we have had our first day with the Lost Luggage library now about in the world and we saw first hand how families were able to interact with the space freely without worry of rules, noise or restrictions. There were 10 year olds queuing up to use our working typewriter, there were toddlers to teenagers joining in our dropping creative writing workshops and there were parents and babies exploring baby books together on bean bags. We've gone as far as we can with setting up the trailer, but now we need your help to make this space even more accessible and interactive. We want to upgrade our two second hand gazebos to one big beautiful bespoke marquee that will make the library a safe and welcoming space. We also want to add a listening station here in the Book Nook with headphones and a tablet so you can select audio books and poems to listen to. And we also want to upgrade our workshop equipment. We've seen how important this space can be for communities who might be too wary to go into quiet libraries or just don't have access to free creative activities. Help us to empower the voices of the next generation and help them tell their own stories.
