Welcome to Belvoir ASD family support group. We came together as a group of dedicated parents of children with Autism/Adhd, to help and support families going through the early days of pre diagnosis and right through to diagnosis. We help families with form filling and making sure they are receiving the correct benefits their children are entitled to. We help and advise with Educational rights. If we can't help then we signpost and refer to those who can. We are all volunteers. Mum's with a passion who care. We hold a weekly coffee morning and also offer 2 social clubs a week. One for Juniors and the other for Seniors. The children love coming to Club where they feel at ease and don't get judged. It also gives parents the opportunity to sit and have a chat.
Once a Month we hold an Advice clinic with our Local MP Emma Pengelly which has been a great success. David Graham who has recently been elected as a Councillor for Balmoral also sits in on the meetings. Before being elected David has been working alongside Emma in her constituency. David was also a Special Advisor for the Minister of Education and therefore very knowledgeable.
